Kalina’s Dream

Kalina was working on her spell. She wanted to have the legendary powers of Kubelazina, the sky goddess.

“I need to join the sky clan and learn their ways,” she said. “They are genetically connected to the goddess. For now, I should go to sleep.”

Just when she shut her eyelids, she had a flashback. In the flashback, she was a baby alicorn.

The goddess was looming above her.

“I know you are a baby, but someday you will understand. You need to run away! Join sky clan! Follow the ancient ritual! WAKE UP!!”

Kalina woke up, breathing hard.

“I NEED to join sky clan,” Kalina breathed. She looked in front of her. She gasped. There was a beautiful portal in front of her. It looked like a bunch of blue, white, and yellow swirls contained by a golden oval with diamonds bejewling the top.

Kalina walked up to it and poked her head through it. ”Wow!” she said. There was a beautiful archway which resembled the top of the portal. She stepped through.

“This place is beautiful!” she thought to herself. She looked down. Her heart nearly stopped. The ground was out of sight. All she saw was blue and white below. A tiny glowing creature flew in front of her.

“Hi. Welcome to Skyville,” it said. “I am a Solkritter.”

I’m a Big Kid!

Tobi has done a lot of growing up in the last two weeks. They have read
their first books–sounding out the letters and putting them together as
words. They have also INDEPENDENTLY decided they no longer need diapers
at night. We have gone a whole week without a single accident!
Granted, I find them each morning pretty much naked–but there is pee
in their potty and they are extremely happy. I couldn’t be prouder of my
Big Kid.

In other news, Tobi has big plans for me too. When I grow up, I’m going
to become a Humongous Mama! It’s good to know I haven’t grown up all
the way yet.
