Tobi was pulling off the leaves on the tree behind the house. I asked them, “Why are you hurting the tree?” After a quizzical look, I talked to them about how leaves are a tree’s way of eating. They said sorry to the tree and went back to playing.??
Five minutes later, they brings me a container of sand. “It’s food!” they announced. “You can eat it, but it won’t taste good.” Then they knowingly walk over to another branch on the tree, pulls it down to the container, and “feeds” the leaves. What a way to make up to nature!Jamie
